ALLA RICERCA, LA PRIMA PAROLA (eng. Looking for, the first word) It is a multisensory table designed to guide visitors towards a poetic perception of reality through the sense of touch.
Hidden in the sand, ceramic tablets engraved with words— synaesthesias —wait to be discovered. Through interaction with the visitor, they will acquire a full sensorial value.
It is a playful action where touch guides the revelation of poetic and sonorous thoughts about everyday moments shared by all, moments to which we should pay more attention because they are made up of unexpected details and associations.

The work was realized thanks to the collaboration with the CNR ISPC (Italian Institute of Cultural Heritage Sciences | National Research Council) @ispccnr and for the construction @_echolabs_
on the occasion of AFAM ROAD SHOW 2025 - Mole Vanvitelliana, Ancona and RUFA Campus, Roma.

(...) it all begins with the sense of touch, because this table was created primarily for blind people and in collaboration with them. But not only for them, this sensory experience also has value for us—those who are commonly gifted—precisely to expand the innumerable and unexplored potential of touch.
This table expands this sense to turn it into creative sound and word, or poetic in the sense of capturing the essence of a moment.
